MISSION
To foster unity and collaboration among all members of the association, transcending departmental, ethnic, and religious divides. We aim to enhance awareness of opportunities in Animal Sciences, uplift our members through education and exposure, and actively promote social and professional activities. Through engagement with the community, we will inform and educate on critical issues in animal production, uphold the standards set by leading national bodies, and advocate for the interests of our members while establishing practical initiatives to support the livestock industry.

ASSAN
The Animal Sciences Students Association of Nigeria (ASSAN) is a dynamic organization dedicated to fostering unity and collaboration among students across the five departments of Animal Sciences. Our mission is to promote the spirit of Oneness while addressing inter-departmental conflicts and encouraging respect for diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds. At ASSAN, we believe in the power of knowledge and opportunity. We strive to create awareness about various scholarships and career prospects in the Animal Sciences profession, empowering our members to excel academically and professionally. Our initiatives include organizing educational workshops, symposia, and social activities that promote networking and personal growth. We are committed to uplifting our members by providing resources and information that enhance their academic experience and practical exposure. Our partnerships with colleges, unions, and external organizations enable us to advocate for the interests of our members and ensure they receive the support they need to thrive.
Additionally, ASSAN plays a crucial role in educating the public on important issues related to animal production. Through various outreach programs, we aim to improve the knowledge base of our communities and promote sustainable practices in livestock management.
